Summary: Okegawa Himeno is a young high school girl who has just moved to Tokyo. She encounters a strange man named Myoujin, who disturbs her by appearing to chat with the thin air. She tries to be friendly, and Myoujin recognizes that she¡¯s being haunted by a ¡°rusenchuu¡±, a bitter and hateful ghost. Luckily for Himeno, Myoujin¡¯s a ¡°guide¡± ¡ª ¡°a [living person] who can negotiates with, and sometimes removes, spirits.¡± After he helps her get rid of the inhaku, Himeno¡¯s able to see spirits, too. After she says goodbye, she finds her new apartment in Utakata Villa. Strangely enough, it seems that she¡¯s destined to be entwined with spiritual matters because her landlord (and only living member of the Utakata Villa) is Myoujin!
